Julia van den Bosch: Stitching as nature intended

Hedge Parsley

Today's media features increasing reports about the mental and emotional benefits of experiencing nature and simply 'going outside.' And textile artist Julia van den Bosch is a believer, having experienced first-hand the peace and renewed energy that comes from daily walks in her garden and the countryside.

To that end, Julia is on a mission to communicate those benefits in her art. She uses photography and unique three-dimensional stitching techniques to make her work come 'alive'. She's also recently started embedding crystals and other natural 'energies' into her work.

Julia's overarching goal is to give viewers the sense they are witnessing the same natural magic she enjoys, regardless of the setting in which they view her work.

Take a moment to join Julia on her nature walks through the lens of her remarkable work. It's a reward to both the eyes and the soul.   >>>
